Opinion -- UP Movie Reveiw

By: Matt Davis

Hahahahahaha was the most common sound I heard when I saw UP for the first time about two months ago. For the month of November the student of the month trip will be watching the Disney movie UP. All the Students of the Month will watch it on Friday, December eleventh at the town hall. Basically, the movie is about an old grump named Mr. Fredrickson who loses his wife. One day he is told he must move to a retirement home. In the meantime, a young Wilderness Explorer named Russel turns UP at his front door. Russel needs to earn his last Wilderness Explorer badge, assist of the elderly. Mr. Fredrickson doesn't like that idea. When the owners of Shady Homes Retirement Homes show UP he commits his plan. Mr. Fredrickson attached thousands of helium-filled balloons to his house so he didn't have to go the Shady Homes. Once he got high enough he opened his front door and who was pressed up against the wall hanging on for his life? Russel! After Mr Fredrickson let Russel in, Russel and Mr. Fredrickson go on an adventure. That's all I'll tell you. Watch the movie to see exactly what happens. Overall, I think it was a sometimes sad but very funny movie.
